PH Consul General Ivan Frank Olea makes an Introductory Visit to Chongqing University.

Chongqing, 06 November 2024. Philippine Consul General Ivan Frank M. Olea met President Shuxin Wang (right), an academician of the renowned Chinese Academy of Engineering of the Chongqing University. Chongqing University was founded in 1929, and currently has fifty thousand (50,000) students across its five (5) campuses. Chongqing University’s main disciplines include energy, manufacturing, and civil engineering.  It is considered the premier university in Chongqing.

Chongqing, 04 November 2024. (Middle photo) The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, led by Consul General Ivan Frank M. Olea (middle) visits Robinsons Galleria in Chongqing, a mixed-use development of the JG Summit Group in Southwestern China. The Consulate was toured by Mr. Dave Law, General Manager of Robinson’s Galleria (second from right).

(Left photo) Consul General Olea discussed ways to explore more opportunities to advance Philippine brands in Southwest China and to promote tourism. Mr. Law expressed optimism to the ideas while affirming the Philippine roots of the Robinson’s brand.

Areas of collaboration that were discussed include the celebration of the first anniversary of Robinson’s Galleria this coming  December and next year’s 50th Anniversary of the Philippines and China Bilateral Relations.

(Right photos) Through the support of Robinson’s Galleria, the Consulate is also co-developing the promotion of Filipino food—such as tokwa’t baboy, arroz caldo, and biko—in Chongqing. END

PH Consulate General joins the Halloween Party hosted by the Filipino Community in Chongqing

Chongqing, 02 November 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, led by Consul General Ivan Frank M. Olea (right photo), joined the Halloween Party of the “United Filipinos in Chongqing” (UFC) at the Sheraton Chongqing Hotel.  The UFC prepared a night filled with fun, games, and prizes. The Filipino community also showcased their talent in music and dances. END

Chongqing, 30 October 2024. The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing meets Mr. Allan Yang (second from right), representative of Ocean-Asia Industry Education (Chongqing) S&T Co., Ltd (OAIE) and Executive Vice President of LAMG - China Education Training Promotion Alliance (LCETPA).  OAIE provides assistance to domestic schools in China in creating international vocational education programs for foreign students and training programs for teachers, managers, and trainers.
