URGENT NOTICE

2019 NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTIONS

 

UNCLAIMED AND UNSENT MAILING PACKETS/BALLOTS

 

The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing wishes to remind all registered voters that the voting period will close on 13 May 2019 at 06:00 PM.

 As a number of voters did not claim their mailing packets or did not respond to the Consulate’s emails and calls with their addresses in Chinese text, some mailing packets containing official ballots remain unclaimed or unsent.

As the voting period is about to end, the Consulate encourages all those who have not yet claimed their ballots to come to the Consulate any time during office hours (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM on weekdays) and/or contact +86 23 6381 0832 or 158 2397 2513 (mobile phone number) and look for Emelyn, Yvonne, or Adrian to arrange for the claiming of their mail packets containing their official ballots on weekend, as there is a need to arrange with the building manager the clients’ arrival on weekends.

At this point, it may no longer be feasible to mail the ballots as they might not be returned to the Consulate before the close of the voting period. The Consulate, therefore, advises the voters to personally claim their ballots and cast their votes immediately.
