NOTICE TO ALL FILIPINOS

 Amendments to COMELEC Resolution No. 10217

The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing would like to inform the members of the Filipino Communities in Chongqing Municipality, Yunnan, Sichuan and Guizhou Provinces that per latest COMELEC Advisory of 19 September 2018, the COMELEC En Banc has moved the deadline for the filing of the application for transfer of registration record from one Post (Consulate/Embassy) to another Post (Consulate/Embassy) and from one residence in a particular foreign country to another residence in another country within the jurisdiction of the same Post from 15 September to 30 September 2018, thus amending the Sections 35-36, Rule 7 of COMELEC Resolution No. 10217.

The Consulate encourages all Filipinos to register earlier before the last day of registration due to the expected influx of tourists in Chongqing starting 29 September as to the forthcoming Chinese National Holidays, which may result in difficulty in transportation and massive crowd in Jiefangbei area where the Consulate is located.

          Nevertheless, should there be no other convenient time to register except on 29-30 September 2018, please contact the Consulate at the following mobile numbers: 15823972513 and 15808057032. The Consulate may need to coordinate your expected arrival with the WFC management (Consulate’s landlord/lessor) during these holidays.
