24 Filipino participants complete New Automotive Intelligent Technologies Training Course in Chongqing
Chongqing, 13 December 2023 – The Philippine Consul General personally congratulated today twenty-four (24) Filipino participants who successfully completed a month-long China-Philippines Advanced Training Course on New Automotive Intelligent Technologies at the Chongqing Electronic Engineering Vocational College from 17 November 2023 to 13 December 2023.
Conducted in collaboration with the Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., Chongqing Changan New Energy Automobile Technology Co., Ltd., and China Automotive Research Institute Zhilian Technology, Co., Ltd, the training program aimed to promote the development of teaching resources for the automotive sector.
The training proper covered a wide range of topics including automobile management, automotive design, vehicle inspection and maintenance.
All 24 trainees were impressed by Chongqing’s cutting-edge automotive technologies. Admiring Chinese education and business models, the trainees recognized that a strong education-industry-research nexus breeds not only better education outcomes but also supports the development of smart manufacturing including in the automotive industry.
In extending her best wishes to the trainees, Consul General Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo encouraged them to present their insights to their respective departments with a view to conveying consolidated recommendations to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as these relate to the crafting of industry-focused curricula and scientific research.
The 24 trainees represented the Bohol Island State University, Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology, Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc., Iloilo Science and Technology University, Mabalacat City College, The Manila Times, College-Subic, Mariano Marcos State University, Marikina Polytechnic College, Misamis University, Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, Sto. Niño College Foundation, Incorporated, Technological University of the Philippines-Manila, University of Cagayan Valley, and WCC Aeronautical and Technological College.
The Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering is a full-time public higher education institution that boasts a School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Automotives. END
