DFA fulfills priority commitment, extends citizen services to Filipinos in Kunming

Kunming, Yunnan Province, 11 November 2023 – In line with its duty to assist Filipinos overseas and promote their welfare, the Department of Foreign Affairs, through the Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, conducted yet another consular outreach on 11 November 2023 in Kunming, the provincial capital of Yunnan, China.
The Consulate made available its entire range of consular services such as notarization of documents, passport renewal, fingerprint certification for NBI clearance, reporting of vital events. Overseas voting registration and individual consultations were also offered to Filipino workers including teachers who make up the majority of the Filipino community in Yunnan.
Separately in a community forum, Vice Consul Adrian G. Miras shared important consular advice and entertained queries from Filipino attendees.
“Notwithstanding the manifold post-pandemic engagements of the Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, we accord the highest priority to the delivery of services to Filipinos in our jurisdiction. As a consular Post of the Department of Affairs, we endeavor to fulfill with consistency and regularity our commitment to assist Filipinos wherever they are in the world,” Consul General Flerida Ann Camille P.
