PH Beaches, Cultural Destinations Pique Interest of Potential Chinese Visitors
Chongqing, 29 May 2023 – In line with its economic diplomacy priorities, the Philippine Consulate General took part in the 26th Chongqing Urban Culture and Tourism Festival held at the Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, Yuzhong District, Chongqing from 26 to 28 May 2023 to promote top Philippine destinations.
The Philippine booth, which was one of the ten international destination booths featured at the three-day fair, showcased the beaches of Boracay, Cebu, Palawan, as well as other tourist and cultural destinations in Metro Manila and other regions. Festival goers received travel tips on the Philippines, based on their interests and demographic. Visitors to the Philippine booth were also given advice on visa requirements in addition to Philippine tourism brochures.
The Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street is one of the busiest commercial business districts in Chongqing and is known for its massive tourist foot traffic. END
