PH Consulate General Encourages Cooperation in Vocational, Technical and Higher Education between the Philippines and Chongqing

20 April 2022, Chongqing – The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing took part in an online meeting today between the Philippines’ Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission (CMEC) as an initial step in forging education cooperation between the Philippines and Chongqing.

CHED’s Deputy Executive Director and Director for International Affairs, Atty. Lily Freida M. Milla, and CMEC’s Director for International Cooperation and Exchange, Mr. Li Bin, provided a background of both countries’ education systems and priorities insofar as higher education and vocational training are concerned. Both sides exchanged ideas for future engagements with the end in view of formalizing their cooperation in the field of education.

Consul General Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo offered suggestions on moving the proposed cooperation forward and extended assurances of the Consulate’s support to realize the CHED-CMEC partnership.  END
