Philippine Consul General Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo and Chongqing Broadcasting Group Vice President Huang Xiang Explore Media Programs for People-to-People Exchanges

17 September 2021 – Philippine Consul General to Chongqing, Ms. Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo, met with Chongqing Broadcasting Group’s (CBG’s) Vice President, Mr. Huang Xiang, today to discuss future programs for cooperation. The possible programs that the two sides are exploring are intended to promote culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges, with a view to creating deeper understanding between the people of Chongqing and of the Philippines through traditional and non-traditional media platforms. Consul General Mayo was accompanied by Vice Consul Adrian G. Miras and Mr. Timothy Wong, interpreter. On the other hand, Mr. Huang was joined by Mr. Xia Tao, Deputy Director of the President’s Office and host of a food segment in CBG’s evening news program, Mr. Qin Ling, Deputy Director of CQTV-Global, and Mr. Zhang Jian, International Cooperation Manager of CBG.
