PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL AND HONG JIU FRUIT COMPANY DISCUSS INVESTMENTS IN THE PHILIPPINES

21 July 2021 – Philippine Consul General Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo met today with Mr. Deng Hongjiu, Chairman of the Hong Jiu Fruit Company, to discuss the status of the latter’s planned investments in the Philippines. A leader in the wholesale fruit business, Hong Jiu will soon set up its first factory in Davao and plans to open more in the coming years. Consul General Mayo encouraged Mr. Deng to explore other investment opportunities that support the mechanization and modernization of the Philippine agriculture, the establishment of Agri-Business Corridors and the use of smart farming technology. Also in the meeting were Vice Consul Adrian G. Miras and Mr. Timothy Wong of the Philippine Consulate General as well as Ms. Chen Hongmei and Mr. Ming Jing of Allied Bank-Chongqing.
