Consul General Ma. Amelita C. Aquino of the Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, China met with officials of Guizhou University led by Professor Degang Zhao, Vice President of the University and Dean of Graduate School, during her recent visit to Guiyang, Guizhou Province.
They discussed strengthening relations between the Consulate General and the University, expanding cooperation and exchanges between Guizhou University and academic institutions in the Philippines and the Consulate General's participation in events hosted by the University.
Guizhou University has linkages with more than 100 universities in 40 countries, including the Philippines. It has partnerships with Angeles University Foundation, University of the Cordilleras, University of the Philippines Baguio and University of Regina Carmelli.
The Consul General took advantage of the visit to hand over donation of the book "One Caring and Sharing Community: The Philippines in ASEAN" for the University's recently established ASEAN Studies Center. Several Books and other publications, audio-visual materials and Filipiniana items from the Foreign Service Institute, NCCA and DOT have previously been donated to the Center though the Philippine Consulate General.
