In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China

As we mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China on 9 June 1975, we celebrate the triumphs of Filipinos who have made China their second home. 

The stories of these Filipinos are a testament to the enduring exchanges between the peoples of the two countries. Their stories are a continuation of those that started centuries ago and that have endured through the years. 

The Philippine Embassy in Beijing, with the Philippine Consulates General in Chongqing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, and Xiamen, has come out with this series to highlight some of these inspiring and timeless stories. 

Waving the Philippine flag in their respective fields of medicine, the arts, education, service, and entertainment, among others, these Filipinos are contributing to advances in both the Philippines and China, while projecting a positive image of the Philippines and of its peoples. 

These Filipinos did not just survive; they thrived. 

These are the Filipinos who #MadeItInChina.
