PH Consulate General welcomes Consular Department Officials  from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Chongqing, 25 October 2024 – (Right photo) The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, represented by Vice Consul Elroy Rendor (rightmost), welcomes Director General Doan Hoang Minh of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of Vietnam. Vice Consul Rendor toured the delegation from the MoFA of Vietnam and representatives from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government (CQ FAO) around the Consular and Chancery areas.

Vice Consul Rendor shared with DG Minh the benefits of having an office in the Jiefangbei area, especially at the WFC Tower. Upon the request of DG Minh, he also shared information on cost-of-living and housing-related matters  in Chongqing. 

The Philippines and Vietnam established their strategic partnership in 2015. As such, Vice Consul Rendor also expressed optimism in future engagements with the Consular Department of the MoFA of Vietnam. END
