PH Consulate General in Chongqing visits Chongqing RCEP Investment and Trade Service Center

Chongqing, 16 August 2024 - (Left photo)  Philippine Consul General Ivan Frank M. Olea (right) meets Mr. Yang Ming (left), the Secretary General of Chongqing RCEP Investment and Trade Service Center (the Center). The Center was opened on 27 April 2023 under the management of the Chongqing Office of Beijing Yingke Law Firm (Yinke). With Yinke—the largest China-based law firm—at its helm, the Center aims to provide an all-in-one platform for RCEP-related political and commercial matters. The Center endeavors to connect around one hundred and ten (110) enterprises in Chongqing with its wide network overseas, including the Philippines.

Consul General Olea highlighted the vital importance of trade facilitation in bridging economic cooperation between Chongqing and the Philippines and underscored the potential to explore win-win opportunities. He also conveyed the crucial role of the Philippines as a gateway to Western markets and the rich opportunities in tapping the large market of the Philippines.
