26 February 2013 - On 25 February 2013, the Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing held a film showing of the documentary film Ninoy: The Heart and The Soul to celebrate the 27th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

The opening ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem followed by brief remarks by Consul General Ma. Amelita C. Aquino.

The acclaimed documentary by Ninoy's late friend and colleague Teodoro C. Benigno reacquainted the viewers, who were mostly young children during the EDSA revolution, with Ninoy.

After the film showing, the Filipino community sang "Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo" composed by Jim Paredes which was inspired by the EDSA revolution.

The program ended with a simple dinner hosted by the Consulate General. -END
