PH Consulate General in Chongqing showcases Philippine brands in 2 nd Chongqing International Consumer Products Expo
Chongqing, 20 September 2024 – (Middle photo) The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing joins the 2 nd Chongqing International Consumer Products Expo at the Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center in Nanping. The expo is part of Chongqing’s efforts to transform the city into a global hub of consumer goods.
From 20 September to 22 September, the Consulate General showcased four (4) Philippine brands in the consumer expo. Dole sold various fruits from the Philippines and S&W sampled their sweet pineapples. Liwayway Group’s Oishi sold potato chips in suancai flavor—a Chongqing specialty dish.
To showcase Filipino culture, the Consulate General also worked with HIBLA Philippines to introduce Filipino woven garments and cultural heritage to Chinese consumers. The Consulate General, through the support of the Philippine Department of Tourism—Shanghai Office, also encouraged tourism to the Philippines under the LOVE The Philippines campaign. END
