Guizhou, 22 August 2024 - Philippine Consul General Ivan Frank M. Olea paid a courtesy call on  Director General Tao Pingsheng of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province (Guizhou FAO). DG Tao proposed several  areas of cooperation including high-level exchanges, tourism, trade and economics, big data, new energy electric vehicles, and sister-city relationships.

Consul General Olea thanked Guizhou FAO for the hospitality extended to the Philippine delegation. He impressed upon them the importance of achieving the desired cooperation through educational exchange, an important foundation for lasting friendship. He also proposed promoting sports cooperation, learning from Guizhou's use of big data for development, and other engagements to further enhance  the Consulate's relationship with Guizhou FAO.

Both sides looked forward to  the continuing engagement and the promising future of Philippines-Guizhou cooperation.
