The Filipino community in Yunnan Province, China participated in the International Fair hosted by Kunming International School on 20 April 2013. More than 10 countries were represented in the Fair.

The Filipino community set up a booth consisting of a nipa hut with displays of tourism posters and a food stand where Filipino favorites such as pansit, lumpiang shanghai, barbeque, maja blanca and other Filipino delicacies were quickly sold out.

Members of the Filipino community serenaded visitors to the Philippine booth and presented the tinikling dance which was well received by the local and international crowd.

Tourism brochures were also distributed during the Fair.

Uniting together, the Filipino community have showcased Philippine culture and promoted tourism through their active participation in the Fair.
