The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing informs all Filipinos under its jurisdiction that the Board of Foreign Service Examinations (BFSE) of the Philippines’ Department of Foreign Affairs will hold Qualifying Tests for the 2016 Foreign Service Officer (FSO) Examination on 07 August 2016.

Interested applicants should meet the following requirements:

  1. Natural-born Filipino citizen and concurrently permanent resident of the Philippines.
  2. Not more than thirty-five (35) years of age on the day of the Qualifying Test, i.e. on 07 August 2016.
  3. Holder of at least a four-year Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  4. Should have undergone employment or undertaken further studies for at least two years after graduating from college or university.
  5. If married to a foreigner, he / she must secure from the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, through the Board of Foreign Service Examinations, authority to take the FSO Examinations.
  6. If applicant has dual or multiple citizenships, he / she should submit a notarized affidavit stating that upon passing the examinations, he / she intends to renounce his / her allegiance to all of his / her other countries of citizenship.
  7. Non-refundable application fee of PhP 500.00 (or the equivalent amount in foreign currency, about RMB 71.00.

Application forms may be secured from this Consulate or may be downloaded from the DFA website: www.dfa.gov.ph.

Please note that application forms printed in 8.5” x 13” (or long bond paper) shall be accomplished by the applicants and should be submitted in person to this Consulate or at the BFSE Secretariat, 2nd floor, DFA main building, 2330 Roxas Blvd., Pasay City, Philippines.  Deadline for submission is 10 June 2016, if at this Consulate, and 17 June 2016 until 5:00 pm, if at the DFA main office in Pasay City.
