NOTICE ON BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS’ DEMONETIZATION SCHEDULE

The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing wishes to inform all Filipinos under its jurisdiction that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has demonetized the old banknote series, as can be seen in the poster below.

The BSP emphasizes that beginning 01 January 2017, the demonetized old banknote series has no more value and only the new banknote series will remain as legal tender in the country.  Further information can be viewed at BSP’s website with the following URL: http://www.bsp.gov.ph/bspnotes/demonetization-0.asp
