*As of 01 April 2022, visa-required nationals may apply for their visa at the Philippine Consulate subject to the requirements below. Once their visa is approved, the travelers, before their flight to the Philippines are required to:

 

  • obtain a negative nucleic acid test result taken within 48 hours prior to the departure from the country of origin/port of embarkation. A negative antigen test result taken within 24 hours by a laboratory prior to the date and time of departure, in lieu of the nucleic acid test result, may also be presented; and
  • sign up for the One Health Pass at https://www.onehealthpass.com.ph/

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ISSUANCE OF TEMPORARY VISITOR’S VISA FOR CHINESE AND OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS

  1. For individual applicants who are proceeding to the Philippines for pleasure/business:
    1. Duly accomplished  visa application form at visa.gov.ph (Applicants must ensure that they receive an email confirmation of the successful lodging of their online application).
    2. One (1) recent photo of the applicant (white background and 2 inches x 2 inches in size);
    3. Original and one photocopy of the applicant’s passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines
    4. Employment Certificate- to financially support the trip of the applicant to the Philippines and to guarantee for his/her return to China (should have an English translation);
    5. Proof of financial capacity through the submission of any two of the following documents: a) DFA Authenticated or Notarized Invitation or Affidavit of Support and Guarantee executed by the Philippine sponsor/guarantor; b) Bank Statement with a balance of at least RMB 20,000, except time deposit accounts and non-liquid investments; c) International credit card showing a balance of at least RMB 20,000 based on most recent statement of account
    6. Confirmed roundtrip ticket (one-way ticket is sufficient for foreign spouses and/or children of Filipino citizens, former Filipino citizens with Balikbayan privileges under R.A. No. 9174, including their spouse and/or children who are traveling with them, and foreign nationals with valid immigrant visa, non-immigrant visa except 9a visa holders, and/or special visa issued by the Bureau of Immigration or competent Philippine government agencies)
    7. Confirmed hotel booking or letter of support or guarantee from the Philippine sponsor clearly stating that the sponsor will cover the traveler’s accommodation, together with the complete address and contact information of the sponsor;
    8. Proof of full vaccination;
    9. Travel insurance for COVID-19 treatment costs, with a minimum coverage of USD 35,000 for the duration of stay in the Philippines (not applicable to foreign spouses and/or children of Filipino citizens, former Filipino citizens with Balikbayan privileges under R.A. No. 9174, including their spouse and/or children who are traveling with them, and foreign nationals with valid immigrant visa, non-immigrant visa except 9a visa holders, and/or special visa issued by the Bureau of Immigration or competent Philippine government agencies)
    10. Personal appearance and interview 
    11. Other requirements that may be prescribed upon evaluation of the application; and
    12. Visa Fees:

RMB 190.00 for Chinese nationals;

RMB 304 for other visa-required nationals; and

RMB 228 for visa-free nationals applying for longer-stay 9a visa.

Additional Requirements for business visit
a) DFA Authenticated or Notarized Invitation or Affidavit of Support and Guarantee executed by the Philippine sponsor/guarantor;

  1. b) Business Registration of Company in China; and
  2. c) Business License of Company in the Philippines

    For Tour Groups
  1. Duly accomplished FA Form No. 2
  2. One (1) recent photos of the applicants (white background and 2 inches x 2 inches in size);
  3. Passport or travel document valid for at least six (6) months beyond the period of authorized stay in the Philippines;
  4. Application for Group Tour Visa in triplicate copy;
  5. Photocopies of the passport personal information page of each tour group member;
  6. Name list for Group Tour Visa;
  7. Endorsement letter from the Chinese travel agency addressed to the Visa Section;
  8. Flight booking or airline certification attesting that the members of the tour groups have roundtrip bookings;
  9. Affidavit of Support and Guarantee executed by the Philippine travel agent; and
  10.  Affidavit of Support and Guarantee executed by the Philippine travel agent; and
  11. Visa fees:

RMB190.00 each – Tour Group with less than 20 members (single entry)

RMB114.00 each– Tour Group with 20 and above members (single entry)

Processing Time:  three (3) working days 

Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG) for Unaccompanied Minor Children 

A guardian or either parent of the minor children below fifteen (15) years old who are holding foreign passports and who are traveling unaccompanied by or not joining a parent in the Philippines must apply for affidavit of consent to travel and request for the issuance of the waiver of exclusion ground (WEG). The actual WEG must be applied at the Bureau of Immigration upon arrival in the Philippines.

Requirements

  1. Affidavit of consent to travel and request for the issuance of the waiver of exclusion ground (WEG) of either parent naming the person who will accompany the child.
  2. Copy of birth certificate of the child
  3. Photocopy of either parent’s passport
  4. Photocopy of passport of the accompanying person

Fee for the notarization of the affidavit:  RMB190.00

Expedited Processing Fee:

  1. a) One day (next business day)  - RMB 190.00
  2. b) Two working days -RMB 114.00

Note: Request for expedited processing of visa applications shall be subject to approval by the Consulate General.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ISSUANCE OF 9(e) AND 9(g) VISAS

  1. Visa Application Form (FA Form No. 2)
  2. Valid endorsement of the visa application form from the DFA
  3. Personal appearance
  4. Recent photo (white background, 2 inches x 2 inches)
  5. Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the authorized stay in the Philippines (with 1 photocopy of the data page); not applicable to 9(e) visa applicants
  6. Personal appearance and interview

Additional requirements specific to 9g visa applicants:

  1. Proof of financial capacity, such as:
    1. Notarized affidavit of support and guarantee executed by the Philippine sponsor/guarantor;
    2. Bank statement of at least RMB 20,000; or
    3. International credit card showing a balance of at least RMB 20,000 based on latest statement of account.
  2. Confirmed hotel booking or letter from the employer if accommodation is covered by the employer
  3. Confirmed onward or return plane ticket.
