Observance of the International Women's Day and National Women's Month

Chongqing, 08 March 2019.  In observance of the International Women’s Day, the Consulate has given special priority to women clients who came to avail themselves of Consulate’s consular service.

On a daily basis, Consulate receives hundreds of visa applications. It likewise receives passport applications and requests for assistance (ATN), among other things. While Consulate already gives priority to the elderly and women every day, today, it aimed to raise greater awareness of the International Women’s Day not only among its personnel but also among the clients – both Filipinos and Chinese – through this small gesture, which further emphasizes the importance of the occasion.

The Consulate hopes that through this, more and more people will be more cognizant of the rights of women and the special and crucial role they play in the society, with the end of attaining greater empowerment of women in these challenging times. END
