13 October 2021 – Upon the invitation of the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Committee, Philippine Consul General Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo delivered an opening speech at the 1st RCEP Design and Consultation Industry Summit, a sub-forum of the 4th Sustainable Landscape-City Development International (SLDI) Forum, on 13 October 2021 at the Yuelai Convention Center in Chongqing, China. Before government and industry representatives, Consul General Mayo shared relevant developments in PH-CN economic relations, provided updates on the Build, Build, Build Project, presented policy directions in the housing and urban development sector, and spotlighted the country’s strategic advantages as an investment destination in the region. PH Consulate General in Chongqing Congratulates China on its 72nd Founding Anniversary

 

29 September 2021 – Consul General Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo attended the National Day Reception hosted today by the Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office to commemorate the 72nd Founding Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. Other guests in attendance were the heads and representatives of the other Consulates General in Chongqing and Chengdu, as well as of offices and departments in Chongqing. Mayor Tang Liangzhi, the guest of honor, delivered an address, citing the accomplishments made by Chongqing in the past years, and greeted everyone a happy Chinese National Day. Consul General Mayo personally extended her congratulations to Mayor Tang and recalled the successful Philippines-China (Chongqing) Trade and Investment Forum held in Manila in September 2019, which was participated in by a significant number of Chongqing delegates, headed by Chongqing Party Secretary Chen Min’er. They both looked forward to more friendly exchanges once travel conditions permit. END

THE PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN CHONGQING PARTICIPATES IN TOURISM EVENT IN TONGREN, GUIZHOU PROVINCE

26 September 2021 – The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, represented by Vice Consul Adrian G. Miras, joined the consular corps in the 2021 International Conference of Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports and the 16th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference held today in Tongren, Guizhou Province. As a prelude to the opening ceremony, the participants toured the Fanjing Mountain and the Yunshe Village, home to the Tujia ethnic group in the same city. The opening ceremony showcased the “colorful” Province of Guizhou, with its rich biodiversity and multi-ethnic heritage, through song, dance, and acrobatic performances. The International Conference of Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports was first held in 2015, while the Guizhou Tourism Development Conference was first held in 2005. Both are hosted annually by Guizhou Province. END
